Although I have been a part of the GBMC organization since February, 2009 I recently transferred to Gilchrist Hospice Care in the end of August. As a new member of the Gilchrist Hospice Care family, I quickly noticed that every employee and volunteer in the organization cares deeply for the patients. It was great to feel that passion as soon as I arrived.
Gilchrist Hospice Care is a wonderful place to work for those who truly care about providing the finest in end of life care for patients. Many of the nurses that we hire do not come from a hospice background but wish to join our team because they understand the importance of quality hospice care for the Maryland community.
Our employees work very hard to take care of our patients but the organization works to take care of its employees as well. The compassion that the staff feels for the patients is carried over to coworkers and employees. Gilchrist encourages the furthering education of our employees and provides certification bonuses for all members of our clinical staff.
I am currently recruiting for a variety of clinical and administrative jobs including three “Hot Jobs”: Director of Development, Quality and Compliance Manager, and Hospice Clinical Manager position for a new team, Facility Based Care South. Recruiting for positions such as these is challenging but an important part of an organization that is growing as quickly as Gilchrist Hospice Care.
